Bringing The Shãm (شام) to BAM
Acclaimed Syrian-American rapper Omar Offendum premiered his hit Little Syria in the Fishman Space in 2022, and has since sold out dozens of shows around the world. Now, he’s back for a very special Fisher Takeover marking Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM), celebrating 150+ years of Arab cultural heritage in New York City.
Lounge and learn in the Hillman with a lively discussion moderated by members of the Washington Street Historical Society, and a special Kan Yama Kan poetry gathering featuring: Hala Alyan, Hamed Sinno, Mahogany L. Browne, Emtithal Mahmoud, Lara Atallah, Ghinwa Jawhari, Fatimah Asghar, Maha Hashwi, and Nour Al Ghraowi!

A Summit for Muslim Women Rooted in Collective Freedom and Care
Every year, Malikah hosts the National Muslim Women’s Summit, one of the few nationwide gatherings dedicated to social justice rooted Muslim women. In 2026, we gather under the theme Collective Freedom and Collective Care, exploring how spiritual grounding, emotional resilience, storytelling, and community accountability shape the lives of Muslim women.

(R)EVOLUTION: Open Mic
As we near the end of another revolution around the sun, we find ourselves in the midst of multiple revolutions in our beloved homelands. Come process it all with us the way we know best: music and words. We’ll be raising funds for @mecaforpeace to support Palestinian and Syrian refugees.
We’ll start with an open mic and then you’ll hear performances from the wonderful + talented @poemsbymaha, @keifwot, and @sarahkhatami.
Kullective: Echoes of Solidarity
A Benefit Concert for Palestine and Lebanon will take place on Dec 5th at Xanadu in Brooklyn. 100% of the profits will be shared between Heal Palestine and Lebanese Red Cross to help those affected by the ongoing genocides.
Artists for Liberation
Join us for our second community gathering to share poetry and music in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon. All funds raised will be donated to Middle East Children’s Alliance and Lebanese Red Cross.
